Ideas for a birthday inside during this Pandemic.
This Coronavirus is taking a toll on all of us! Heck, even birthdays. You can't go out to your favourite restaurant or throw a party with all of your friends. These are the birthdays that we don't look forward to!
My youngest sister Julia, was really disappointed because her 19th birthday was on "lock-down". So our family and I tried our best to make her day special!
Here are some tips and tricks that you can use for a COVID birthday girl celebration.
BEFORE THE BIRTHDAY
Make her feel special!
VIDEO FROM FRIENDS + FAMILY
A week before her birthday, gather friends and family to share a 30 sec video of themselves wishing the birthday girl a very special birthday. Put it together through a video editor app like iMovie.
HOME MANI + PEDI
Get their favourite nail polish and let her sit back, relax, and enjoy the pampering.
HOME HAIRCUTTERS + HAIR DYE
This took us a whole night to accomplish for 3 girls in the family. But it was so much fun and it was a great bonding time!
For those that are wondering how we cut our own hair, I basically just watched this YouTube video. I cut Julia's hair, my mom cut my hair, and my other sister Kailtn cut her own. It was a Haircutting train!
BAKE A CAKE
Can't bake? There are delicious cakes at grocery stores, like Metro, Costco, etc.
Purchase a bunch on stuff at Walmart and/or Dollarama and go all out with decor the night before! Or if she likes to sleep in, do it the morning of her birthday.
We always love to decorate an accent wall in our dinning room for the special lady.
HAVE BRUNCH, THEN ORDER TAKE-OUT FOR DINNER
Food is always a great way to celebrate! We made crepes at home with cut up berries, whip cream and maple syrup. Then we ordered sushi from Julia's favourite restaurant.
It's a special day! So put on a bra, some make-up and your favourite dress.
JUST DANCE - If you can't go out and dance, do it at home!
BOARD GAMES - we love to play Code Names, Wizard and Five Crowns
CREATE A TIKTOK/VIDEO - my sisters and I got together a created a TikTok. It was a fun way to collaborate together.
To tie off the end of the night, open some presents after dinner.
Remember when this is all over to have a 2nd party with friends!
I hope this helps you have some inspiration to make a COVID birthday girl feel special!
