Creating your Blog-Site in 30 Minutes | Wix ADI

Updated: Sep 15, 2020

Starting is always the hardest part

When I first started my website, I was doing it because I was travelling a lot and needed to still be connected to the people back home. I thought, "why not blogging?"

Overtime I have evolved my blogging style into something that is more "How to", rather than writing about what's happening and stories. It's become more of a resource for viewers.

The website builder that I started with was Wix.com ADI (Artificial Design Intelligence). You need to start somewhere and 99% of the time it's not perfect! Don't you despise small beginnings because that's what will take you to the next level in your blogging, business, and personal growth.

Now I am using Wix Editor and it has a lot more options in terms of designing and placing your photos and content. But my start was with Wix ADI and grew my knowledge of websites overtime. So let's get started!

Just start already!

If you want to get into more detail, click on the YouTube video above.

The bonus is, Wix ADI practically does everything for you! You just adjust your photos, content, and the colours and styles. It's very simple and easy to set-up your very own blog-site/website for yourself in just 30 minutes or more.

You only need 2 - 3 pages for your website

  • Homepage

  • Blog Page

  • Possible a Contact/About Page

Resources you need to start

Gather it all up and put it into one folder on your computer/hard drive.

  • Your bio

  • Lots and lots of photos of you

  • Photos that relate to you - check out unsplash.com for free high-res photos

Your Blog-site Needs

  1. Blog Posts - this is an obvious!

  2. Homepage - focus on "who you are + why you exist"

  3. About You - your bio

  4. Contact Info

  5. Photos and more photos

Finishing touches

The great thing about websites and blog-sites is that once it's done, it's done and you don't need to adjust anything until a year down the road. It's a big hurdle to jump over but it's worth it!

Remember to stay consistent with your blog posting, and make it as a resource for your viewers. Think of how can you add value to your viewer? How is your blog post going to help others?
